Winter
November
Winter’s coming, as usual.
People say: No, not now, not on a bike, “it’s cold”, they say in the winter.
Lucky it is, I think.
Imagine having hot winters here in the tempered zone
It would be a disaster.
Lucky it isn’t yet, winter’s cold and summer’s warm. In autumn the rains start and in spring the fields and the people dust of their winter and in the countryside and in the cities huffs of heat come and go.
In some cases women start going around without stockings, in springtime. Less and less rare cases become the norm once summer has arrived.
And now winter and people go “brrrrrrrrr!” No, not now, not on a bike.
And it’s the only transportation that unites heat with movement.
